O jardim mais bonito do mundo para nós

É o que guarda as nossas memórias. A nossa infância e a primeira vez que andámos de bicicleta (daquelas com 2 rodinhas atrás para apoiar). O nosso namoro, o primeiro beijo e o pedido de casamento. O primeiro passeio com o nosso filho mais velho. Já passeámos por tantos sítios e tão bonitos, mas este continuará a ser o nosso preferido.

The most beautiful garden in the world for us is the one that keeps our memories. Our childhood and the first time we ride a bicycle (those with 2 litte wheels in the back to support). Our relationship, the first kiss and the proposal. The first walk with our oldest son. We've been to so many and so pretty places, but this will continue to be our favorite.

Beer and Cappucino

Boa noite! Hoje fomos passear até à terra dos avós paternos e estes dias são sempre cansativos...muitas brincadeiras, o G. a querer apanhar as galinhas e as codornizes pequeninas, a C. só quer estar comigo..e como ainda não anda sozinha, os meus braços ressentem-se. Vamos à horta da avó e à oficina do avô. Vamos visitar a tia que está a recuperar. O primo vem brincar com o G. Nestes dias, a mesa está cheia. De comida e de gente. Há barulho e isso é tão bom...! 

Bom..mas o post de hoje é só para mostrar os meus novos copos - versão cerveja e versão cappucino.

Good evening! Today we went to the grandparents home and these days are allways tiring...many plays, G. wants to catch the chicken and the little quails, C. just wanna be with me..she doesn't walk by herself yet, my arms hurts. We go to the grandma vegetable garden, and to the grandpa workshop. We go visit the aunt that is recovering. The cousin comes to play with G. On these days, the table is full. Of food and people. There is noise and that feels so good...!

Well...but today's post is only to show you my new glasses - beer version and cappucino version.

Sweet Blue Cupcake Pincushion

Aguardo ansiosamente mais uma ida à loja das lãs.. Até lá vou fazendo pequenos crochets e tornando a minha casa mais "lar, doce lar"! Desta vez mostro-vos um alfineteiro em forma de cupcake (acho amorosos os trabalhos de crochet que têm forma de comida..!).

I wait anxiously for another trip to the yarn store.. Meanwhile I'm making little crochets and becoming my house more "home, sweet home"! This time I show you a pincushion with the shape of a cupcake (I find adorable the crochets with shape of food..!).

Mais uma herança...!

Olá! Espero que o fim-de-semana esteja a correr bem para toda a gente, o meu está a ser bom, com a família junta. Eu sei que ainda é um pouco cedo, mas já comecei a preparar o material para o G. levar para a creche (vai entrar em Setembro). Ou seja, comecei a identificar os pertences dele, tais como os lençóis para dormir a sesta, o bibe e o chapéu. Decidi-me a bordar o seu nome e pus-me a procurar as linhas e quais as cores que ficavam melhor.

Hi! Hope the weekend is fine for everybody, mine is being good, with the family together. I know it's a bit early, but I've been preparing the material for G. take to nursery school (it starts in September). I started to identify his belongs, such as the bedding for the nap time, the bib and the hat. I decided to embroider his name and I put myself looking the lines and the colours that fit better.

Lembrei-me que a minha mãe tinha estas linhas guardadas que não chegou a fazer uso e pedi-lhas. 

I remember my mom had these kept that she didn't use so I ask her.

Vieram de Angola, há cerca de 40 anos. A minha mãe ainda era solteira e era uma moça muito prendada. Estas são brasileiras e têm uma textura que provoca que elas se enrolam. De todas as que ela me deu, só consegui tirar estas do saco, uma vez que as outras estão de tal maneira emaranhadas, que me foi mesmo impossível.

They came from Angola, 40 years ago. My mother was a very gifted young single lady. These are brasilian and their texture makes them wind up. She gave me a lot, but I only could manage get out of the bag these ones, the others were so so tangled, that was completely impossible. 

 

Também tinha estas que são portuguesas. São linhas mais finas - linha de seda - com uma textura mais lisa e mais suave ao bordar.

These ones are portuguese. Are thiner  - silk - with a smoother and softer texture while embroidering.

 

O que o G. precisa para a creche já está pronto...qualquer dia quando voltar a saudade de fazer bordados mais bonitos, vou voltar a pegar nestas linhas! Já agora, e por curiosidade, haverá alguém por aí que ainda tenha ou conheça alguém que tenha linhas destas? Beijinhos!

What G. needs for the nursery school it's done... one day I will make prettier embroiderys and I will work with these again! By the way, and for curiosity, is there someone that have or knows someone that have these kind of lines? Kisses!

Bolo de Framboesas com Cobertura de Iogurte

Mais um feriado se passou com muito sol, piscina e descanso. O meu marido esteve em casa hoje e aproveitámos a manhã para passearmos até a um parque infantil com os nossos pequeninos. A C. já vai fazer 10 meses e começou a dar uns passinhos...ainda que envergonhados! Como eu gosto de os ver a brincar juntos..! E o tempo passa a correr..Ao entardecer apeteceu-me fazer um bolo que já tinha experimentado uma vez e gostei. Venho partilhar com vocês a receita.

Another holiday has past with a lot of sun, pool and rest. My husband stayed at home with us and we've went to the park in the morning with our little ones. C. is going up to 10 months and recently started to make little steps...very shy! I love seeing both playing together..! And times runs..At sunset I felt baking a cake I've allready tried before once and like it. I'll share with you the recipe.

 Ingredientes:

- 170 g açúcar

- 130 g manteiga

- 2 ovos

- 225 g farinha

- 1 colher de café de fermento

- 140 ml leite

- framboesas a gosto

Preparação: 

-Derreter a manteiga e adicionar ao açúcar. Juntar os ovos. Peneirar a farinha e o fermento. Juntar o leite e mexer bem. Juntar as framboesas tendo o cuidado a mexer para não esmagar.

- Para a cobertura coloquei iogurte caseiro: 1 L de leite, 1 iogurte natural, 5 colheres sopa açúcar e caramelo a gosto. Deixar na iogurteira uma noite.

Ingredients:

- 170 g sugar

- 130 g butter

- 2 eggs

- 225 g flour

- 1 coffee spoon of yeast

- 140 ml milk

- raspberrys

Preparation: 

-Melt the butter and add to the sugar. Add the mixed eggs. Mix the flour, the yeast and the milk. Add the raspberrys carefully to not smash them.

- For the topping I put homemade yogurt: 1 L milk, 1 natural yogurt, 5 spoons of sugar and caramel. Leave in the yogurt maker for one night.

Bom apetite!

Passo-a-passo: African Flowers

Como já escrevi num outro post, ando a fazer uma almofada para a minha sala com African Flowers Squares. São bastante fáceis de se fazer e resultam num trabalho muito bonito. Hoje venho partilhar com vocês a maneira como faço estas flores.

As I allready have written on another post, I'm working at a cushion for my living room with African Flowers Squares. They are so easy to do and they result in a very nice work. Today I'm gonna share with you the way I'm doing mine.

Com uma cor, fazer 4 correntes,unir com ponto baixíssimo, 3 correntes (conta com 1 ponto alto), 1 ponto alto, 1 corrente. Repetir 7 vezes (2 pontos altos + 1 corrente). Ficamos com 8 conjuntos.

With first colour, work 4 chains, 1 sl st on 1st chain, 3 chains (count as 1 dc), 1 dc, 1 ch. Repeat 7 times (2 dc +1 ch). Got 8 sets.

Com outra cor, fazer 3 pontos altos no espaço da corrente da volta anterior. Fazer 1 corrente. Repetir 7 vezes (3 pontos altos + 1 corrente). Ficamos com 8 conjuntos.

With another colour, work 3 dc on the chain space from the previous round. Work 1 ch. Repeat 7 times (3 dc +1 ch). Got 8 sets.

Com outra cor, fazer (2 pontos altos, 2 correntes, 2 pontos altos) em cada espaço da corrente da volta anterior. Repetir 7 vezes, sem correntes a intervalar.

With another colour, work (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) on every chain space from the previous round. Repeat 7 times, without any chain gap.

Com a mesma cor, fazer 7 pontos altos em cada espaço de 2 correntes da volta anterior. Repetir 7 vezes, sem correntes a intervalar.

With the same colour, work 7 dc on every chain space from the previous round. Repeat 7 times, without chain gap.

Com a cor usada na primeira volta, fazer pontos baixos até ao final de cada conjunto de 7 pontos altos. Fazer um ponto baixo que apanhe as 2 voltas da mesma cor. Repetir 7 vezes.

With the first round colour, work sc until the end of the 7 dc set.Work a long sc that catches both previous rounds. Repeat 7 times.

E é isto! Rápido e fácil, não acham? Eu continuei a trabalhar em cada uma para fazer em formato de quadrado em branco, para dar um ar mais geométrico. Red, Orange and Yellow African Flowers Squares

Basta olhar para os álbuns do Pinterest acerca deste padrão para me apaixonar por ele..! Para o experimentar, nada melhor que um projecto pequeno - como uma almofada. Desta vez para a sala, em tons de vermelho, cor-de-laranja e amarelo. São flores lindíssimas e divertidas de se fazer. Parece-me que este vai ser o primeiro de muitos trabalhos com estas flores!

Since I put my eyes in this pattern on Pinterest, I felt in love with it..! To try it, nothing better than a small project - like a cushion. This time for our living room, in red, orange and yellow. These flowers are gorgeous and very fun to do. It looks like to me this is going to be the first of many works with these flowers.

 

Yarndale 2013 - A Festival of Creativity

Esta é uma daquelas exposições que eu adoraria visitar! Tantas cores, tanta imaginação, tanta beleza..ainda por cima num país que deve ser lindo. Qualquer dia ainda lá vou...ainda não perdi a esperança! Bom, enquanto eu não posso ir, vão algumas peças feitas por mim.  

A Lucy do blog Attic24 pediu a colaboração de quem quisesse fazer e enviar alguns granny triangles e eu abracei logo o trabalho. Foi com muito prazer que fiz estes 6 grannys.

I would love to visit this festival! So many colours, imagination, beauty...in a country which must be beautiful. Some day I will go there, I still not lose hope! Well, I cannot go, but I send a few granny triangles made by me. 

Lucy from the blog Attic24 ask for help to anyone that wanted to make and send some granny triangles and I took it right away. It was a pleasure making these 6 grannys.

Quis que todos fossem diferentes, sem um padrão definido de cores e/ou decorações. Gosto de todos eles, mas talvez o que prefiro é o que tem a moldura em rosa. E vocês?

I wanted all to be different, without a defined colour pattern and/or decoration. I like all of them, but maybe what I prefer is the pink frame triangle. And you?

Compras

Aqui está a compra de hoje: 21 novelos de lã e 1 agulha de crochet nº4. Atendendo que o preço de cada novelo é bastante acessível (na marca Miltons - 100% Acrílico) pude trazer esta quantidade. Mas como não tenho mais nenhum vício sem ser o crochet, porque não trazer estes novelos todos? Arranjo trabalho para eles todos com certeza! Fui buscar mais branco e cinzento para continuar esta colcha,  no próximo post mostrarei o que vou fazer com as restantes cores. Beijinhos!

Here is my today shopping: 21 yarn and 1 crochet nr 4 needle. the price of each yarn is quite acessible  (brand Miltons - 100% Acrilyc) I could afford that quantity. If I don't have any other addiction, why cannot bring all that yarn? I can find projects for them all, for sure! I went and buy some more white and grey to continue this blanket, on next post I will show you what I'm going to do with the rest of the colours. Kisses!

Um pequeno mimo...!

Quem visita o meu blog já reparou o quanto eu estimo a minha família e aprecio o tempo que passamos juntos. O sorriso das crianças vale muito mais do que o dinheiro possa comprar e enche-nos o coração de felicidade. O tempo a educar, ensinar, partilhar e brincar é muito valioso na infância de qualquer criança. Por isso eu abdiquei da profissão e decidi ser mãe a tempo inteiro. Claro que tenho muita sorte em poder fazê-lo, porque tenho o marido que tenho e que amo muito. E para mim, não é preciso um aniversário, um Natal ou um Dia da Criança para eu gostar de mimar os meus. É quando me apetece. E agora apeteceu-me criar um boneco em crochet - o "Amineko", de Nekoyama. 

Everyone that stops by here have allready notice how I appreciate my family and the time we spend together. Children's smile is worthier than anything money can buy and it fulfills our hearts. Time we spend educating, teaching, sharishing and playing is very valuable in any childhood. And for that reason, I gave up my career and decided to be a full time mum. Of course I have the luck to be able to do it, because I have my husband that I love so much. And to me, it's not necessary a birthday, a Christmas or a Children's Day to spoil my owns. It's when I feel like. And now I felt like creating a crocheted cat - "Amineko", from Nekoyama.

Pelo menos tentei, não sei como mas fiz-lhe um nariz que faz com que ele se pareça com um urso! Bom... o que interessa é que o nosso mais velho gostou, agarrou-se a ele e não largou (neste momento está a dormir com ele!)...! A C. não lhe achou piada e como ela ainda está na idade de levar tudo à boca, vou fazer um para ela quando for mais crescida.   

At least I tried, I don't know how but I made it with a bear nose! Well...what matters is that our oldest son loved it, grabed it and didn't let it go (right now he is sleeping with the Amineko!)...! Little C. didn't care at all and she is still in that age of taking everything to the teeth, I'll make one for her when she is older.
